Applied Engineering Welcomes Ian Ritchie as Sales Manager

Applied Engineering is pleased to announce that Ian Ritchie has joined the team as Sales Manager, bringing more than 20 years of business development, relationship management, and consultative sales experience across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Throughout his career, Ian has built a strong reputation for developing long-term customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and helping organizations achieve growth through tailored solutions. His background includes leadership roles with major financial institutions including Wells Fargo, Mechanics Bank, City National Bank, Union Bank, and Silicon Valley Bank, where he worked closely with business owners, CFOs, and executive teams to support complex business needs.

Ian’s expertise in strategic prospecting, account management, networking, and customer engagement aligns closely with Applied Engineering’s commitment to providing exceptional support to customers in industries such as semiconductor equipment, robotics, medical devices, life sciences, clean energy, and emerging technologies. His experience leading teams, building pipelines, and delivering customer-focused solutions will further strengthen Applied Engineering’s ability to support customers from new product introduction through full-scale manufacturing.

As Sales Manager, Ian will focus on expanding Applied Engineering’s customer relationships throughout the Bay Area and beyond, helping innovative companies bring complex products to market faster through agile, high-quality manufacturing solutions.

Ian holds an MBA in Finance from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
